How to create a My Oracle Support(MOS) account?

Step 1
Creating MOS account

  1. Proceed to https://support.oracle.com/portal/ to create your MOS account
  2. Account is free but later on you will need to add on access and CSI (Customer Support Identifier)

Step 2
Linking to your CSI
**Please read below carefully before proceeding with the CSI registration, the first person to register will be asked to become the  CUA during the registration process.
Customer User Administrator (CUAs) are responsible for:

  • Approving new or additional SI requests for My Oracle Support users
  • Approving additional privileges for existing user's profiles
  • Removing users
  • Setting/modifying user access privileges (e.g. Service Request access, Patch Download,Asset access)
  • Completing the Auto Service Request Activations steps
  • Validating assets have the correct address and contact information

It is highly recommended that there be at least two CUAs assigned to each Support Identifier for redundancy and coverage.
<company> as the owner of the assets should be first appointed with CUA rights, subsequent CUA approval should be discussed with <company> further.

The CUA approval coming from Oracle will be done normally in 1-2days, however it might take 1-2 weeks depending on Oracle’s load.
Do also put in place measures for handover/takeover in the event that CUA withdraws.**

If you are just requesting for CSI access, you should also follow below steps, however after requesting access, the CUA will need to approve.

  1. Proceed to https://support.oracle.com/portal/ and login
  2. On the top left of the webpage, you should be able to see your name associated with the MOS account
  3. Click and navigate to “My Account”
  4. You should be able to see “Request Access”. Example shown in point 5
  5. Click on “Request Access”
  6. Key in your Support identifier and proceed through the registration.

After doing so, your MOS account will be linked to your CSI and would be able to access and download patches depending on what assets are tagged under your CSI.
