How to collect iLOM Logs and upload to us? (X-Series, SPARC & S-Series Systems)

Extract below logs and upload them to our FTP server via a FTP application eg. Filezilla

First you need to have the net management port to be configured then you can log in through the browser and collect the necessary information.

To check whether if the net management port has been configured with an IP<br> <br>Log in serially into the serial port<br>Log in to the SP username : root password: changeme (default)<br>Key in the command below to display the IP address.<br> <br>-> show /SP/network
If there is no IP configured, follow the steps below the configure.<br> <br>-> cd SP<br>                -> cd network<br>                -> set pendingipaddress=10.10.10.10<br>                -> set pendingipnetmask=255.255.255.0<br>                -> set commitpending=true
Once you have an IP address, make sure your workstation is able to ping to the IP address.<br> <br>1. Open a browser and type Error! Hyperlink reference not valid.> Example: 10.10.10.10<br>The SP ILOM welcome screen opens.<br>2. Enter root as your username and changeme as your password (unless you have previously changed your password).<br>The ILOM web interface presents the home page (System Information tab) for the node.<br>To Create a Data Collection Snapshot Using the ILOM Web Interface<br>1. The interface opens to the System Information tab.<br>2. Select the Maintenance tab.<br>3. Select the Snapshot tab.<br>The Service Snapshot panel opens, as shown in the following figure:<br>FIGURE 5-7 ILOM 3.0 GUI: Maintenance > Service Snapshot View<br>DO NOT SELECT THE OPTION CIRCLED IN RED<br><br>1.  Select Normal under the Data Set dropdown list<br>2.  Do not enable “collecting only log files from the data set. “<br>3. Do not choose to enable the encryption of the output file.<br>4. Select browser for the  transfer output file method<br>5. After making selections, click Run.<br>6. Specify the path and filename of the file where you want the results written.<br>7. Click OK to save the file.
